Description
Typical Uses: The CJLS is utilized in finished roll applications where a core is not required. The elimination of the core allows the converter to further reduce production cost and maximize profits. Typical rewind shafts range in size from 1.5” (38mm) to 4” (101.6mm) in diameter. The machine can be used for a wide variety of converted products: void fill, floor underlayment, roofing materials, red rosin, fiber reinforced box tape, kraft, counter rolls and many more.
Operator Responsibilities Per Cycle: The machine is fully automatic, allowing the operator to assist with roll packaging.
Automation: Rewind mandrels are staged in the autoloader. The shafts are automatically loaded into the rewind station. Once in place, the machine automatically cuts the tails, wraps the tails around the shaft, tucks the tails, winds the roll to the desired length, transfers the rolls to the seal station, seals the tails of the finished rolls, transfers the rolls (with the shaft) to the shaft extraction station, deflates the shaft, strips the shaft of finished rolls, and transfers the shaft back to the autoloader while finished rolls exit the machine.
Standard Features: (In addition to the JJM and JJS features)
- Specially designed coreless rewind shafts with stable concentricity.
- Automatic expansion and retraction of shafts.
- Automatic removal of finished rolls from the rewind shafts.
