What are POS/ATM Paper Slitters/Rewinder Machines?
The retail, banking, hospitality, and related industries often print receipts or tickets from rolls of paper. For these applications, paper slitter/rewinder machines cut large master rolls of paper into narrower rolls that can be used in machines like cash registers, ATMs, and small printers.
The machines use a three-step process of unwinding the larger roll, slitting the paper lengthwise into several rolls of the desired width, and rewinding these new rolls around cores. Master rolls are held between a set of bedrollers to keep them in alignment, and the paper is cut with a series of shear, score, or razor knives. Ends are securely adhered to cores, and a special roller applies precise pressure to the rolls as they are rewound to ensure the finished rolls are the correct firmness.
