Lottery

Lottery ticket manufacturers, lottery retailers, and state lottery commissions require small paper rolls to produce lottery tickets on demand. Special equipment can be used to cut parent rolls into various widths and diameters and rewind them into more manageable rolls.

Jennerjahn Machine’s lottery paper slitting/rewinding machines incorporate advanced technologies and automation capabilities to streamline customers’ paper roll converting and preparation processes. We offer several types of lottery paper slitter/rewinder machines, with manual, semi-automatic, and automatic options to suit varying application needs. Learn more about the machines we offer and their uses in different markets below.

What are Lottery Paper Slitters/Rewinder Machines?

Lottery paper slitters/rewinders are machines that can cut small paper rolls from larger rolls of paper. Slitting/rewinding machines perform three primary operations to convert paper rolls, including unrolling paper from a large initial master roll, slitting the unwound paper, and rewinding the smaller paper rolls to prepare them for printing. These rolls can then be packaged for use in various lottery applications.

Key Features & Benefits of Jennerjahn’s Lottery Paper Slitter/Rewinder Machines

Jennerjahn Machine’s lottery paper slitter/rewinders integrate a number of features to enhance customers’ converting and manufacturing processes. While many of our slitting/rewinding machines use automation to provide repeatable precision, all of our solutions help our customers save time and money compared to traditional models.

Each of our small roll surface rewinders includes two bedrollers and a top rider roller to provide adequate tension and roll hardness during winding. Slitting/rewinding machine options include:

CJJF: Coreless Fully Automatic Surface Rewinder

These fully automatic surface rewinders use patented technology to facilitate rewinding without the use of a plastic core, reducing associated costs and waste. Jennerjahn Machine’s patented coreless POL rolls provide twice the amount of crush resistance compared to other rolls. Coreless rolls can also fit more paper due to their smaller interior diameters.

JJF: Fully Automatic Surface Rewinder

JJF surface rewinders allow customers to automate the rewinding and slitting process. These rewinders feature automated speed calculations, feeding processes, and core alignment, along with material slitting, tail tucking, and core rewinding capabilities. These rewinders are ideal when working with cores ranging from 1.5 inches to 12 inches and webs up to 54 inches in width.

JJS: Semi-Automatic Surface Rewinder

These rewinders feature automated functions for insertion, gluing, and roll removal processes, reducing operator responsibilities to core loading and mandrel placement. Additional features include an automatic mandrel cap removal system and 2- or 3-ply configuration options.

JJM: Manual Surface Rewinder

The JJM features a mono-frame design that fits the shafted unwind stand and rewind station, with the operator removing finished rolls and reloading the mandrel between cycles. These rewinders can also include additional features like automatic tail cut and glue systems.

DJJF: Dual Fully Automatic Surface Rewinder Jennerjahn Case Packer

The DJJF features two fully automated rewinder machines that run simultaneously to effectively manage high production volumes. This model includes an automated roll removal system that combines products onto one exit conveyor.

Key Features of Lottery Paper Packaging Solutions

Lottery paper packaging options from Jennerjahn Machine include:

JCP: Jennerjahn Case Packer Roll Processing Line

The JCP Case Packer features a cutting-edge area vacuum gripper system to pack roll layers into boxes. The JCP can run approximately 125 rolls per minute for 3-inch roll diameters and up to 160 rolls per minute for 1.38-inch roll diameters.

RPL: Roll Processing Line Separator & Pounder Sleeve Wrapper with Heat Tunnel

This processing line uses automation to handle a high volume of rolls with efficiency. The P&S RPL receives roll sets directly from rewinders before separating them, orienting them with the core, aligning offset cores, and conveying finished rolls.

FB550: Sleeve Wrapper with Heat Tunnel

The FB550 features a heat tunnel system to sustain rapid roll packaging at high volumes. This sleeve wrapper can process up to 25 rolls per pack with a maximum processing speed of 20 rows per minute.

Markets That Use Lottery Paper

Various markets can use our systems to produce lottery paper, including:

  • State Lottery Commissions. These government agencies oversee the operation of lotteries and supply tickets for entrants. Potential lotteries range from scratch-offs with smaller cash prizes to Powerball lotteries and Mega Millions.
  • Lottery Retailers. Authorized retail outlets such as grocery stores, gas stations, and convenience stores sell tickets made from lottery paper.
  • Lottery Ticket Manufacturers. Companies responsible for producing lottery paper use rewinders and other systems to manufacture these products, often taking certain measures to prevent fraudulent activities like counterfeiting.
