Shaftless rewind technology transforms the winding process by eliminating traditional mandrel shaft systems. To do this, interchangeable chucks are used for various core diameters, securing the cores firmly during the winding cycle. This advanced technology allows the JJF model to process rolls with rewind core O.D.’s ranging from 5/8 of an inch to 1.25 inches.
Plasma-coated idler rollers for linerless stock prevent adhesive from sticking to the rollers, ensuring smooth operation and high performance.

What are Linerless Label Roll Slitters/Rewinders?
Jennerjahn’s shaftless rewind technology replaces outdated and inefficient rewind mandrel systems by using easily interchangeable chucks for various core diameters to secure the cores during the winding cycle. After winding, the tails are automatically cut and secured to the roll using the standard glue system or an optional adhesive tab sealing system. The finished rolls are then transferred by conveyor to a packing table or to an optional roll processing line and JCP roll packaging line.
The separate unwind stand and rewinder frame offer greater flexibility add optional features such as adhesive tab tail sealing, dual web or Jennerjahn’s patented coreless technology.

JJF: Fully Automatic Surface Rewinder
The JJF requires minimal operator involvement to keep the machine running in a fully-automatic mode. This model minimizes labor while increasing productivity and product quality.
JJS: Semi-Automatic Surface Rewinder
The JJS model is the second level of automation featured on Jennerjahn small roll surface rewinders. To maintain continuous operation of the JJS, the operator is responsible for loading cores onto a mandrel and placing it into a magazine in front of the winding station. Up to 6 sets of mandrels can be staged in the magazine. Tucked roll starts, tail cuts, tail sealing with glue or adhesive tabs, finished roll kick-out, and mandrel cap removal, are all done automatically.
JJM: Manual Surface Rewinder
The JJM manual surface rewinder model is the most basic of three levels of automation featured on Jennerjahn small roll surface rewinders. The shafted unwind stand and rewind station are incorporated into the mono-frame design. The JJM requires the most operator involvement as the following manual functions must be performed by the operator for each machine cycle. The operator is responsible for removing finished rolls from the machine, placing a cored mandrel into the machine, cutting the tails and securing the tails of the finished rolls with glue or a tab. During the machine cycle, the operator will remove the finished rolls from the mandrel and re-load the mandrel with new cores for the next cycle. An automatic tail cut and glue system is available as an option.
DJJF: Dual Fully Automatic Surface Rewinder
The DJJF model maintains the highest level of automation as the JJF; however, this automation is duplicated on two rewinders simultaneously, thus doubling production! As with the JJF, the DJJF requires minimal operator involvement to keep both machines running in a fully-automatic mode. By sharing a few common components between the two rewinders, production becomes twice that of a single JJF unit. This significantly reduces a converter’s overall investment, labor requirement and production floor space.

JCP: Jennerjahn Case Packer
The Jennerjahn Case Packer is a component of our turn-key solution for small roll production. The case packer can pack individual rolls or shrink-wrapped roll packs and can be mated to the end of an RPL or FB550 sleeve wrapper. The JCP features a state-of-the-art area vacuum gripper system with servo actuation to control the pick and placement of the roll layer into the box. When running 3” or (76mm) diameter rolls, the JCP can pack 120 rolls per minute! When running 1.38” or (35mm) diameter rolls, the JCP can pack 160 rolls per minute!
RPL: Roll Processing Line Separator & Pounder
With rolls coming off the rewinder at rates of over 100 per minute, an automated solution for this problem is required. The P&S Roll Processing Line is that solution. The system accepts roll sets from the Jennerjahn rewinder, individually separates them, orients them with the core in a vertical position, aligns offset cores using a small press, and conveys the finished rolls to further downstream packaging.
FB550: Sleeve Wrapper with Heat Tunnel
The FB550 is a high-volume sleeve wrapper and heat tunnel system that provides rapid packaging of POS and similar rolls. The system is designed to process from 1 to 25 rolls per pack. A pack can be arranged with 1 to 5 rows and up to 5 rolls per row. The system mates easily with the P&S RPL and can be arranged to suit nearly any plant layout.
